- Summary
- Through rare films originally taken as "home movies" by those who returned to visit Poland in the 1930's as well as photographs, memorabilia, music and interviews with survivors of the lost culture, the film vividly recreates Jewish life in Poland from the late 19th century through the 1930's. Focuses on the various aspects of Polish Jewish life before the Holocaust - the rich and the poor, the religious and the secular, the city and the shtetl as well as the varying political tendencies.
