- Description
- 1 film reel (17 min.) : si. col.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- A collage film commentary on the violence which pervades American culture. Combines educational film footage, television war coverage and a Mickey Mouse sequence to express the filmmaker's love-hate relationship with his culture, his country, his art and fellow artists. Inspired, in part, by Dostoyevsky's "The Diary of a Writer" in which the author reveals: "I attempted to depict the complex and heterogenous motives which may prompt even the purest of heart and the most naive people to take part in an absolutely monstrous crime."
