- Description
- 1 film reel (28 min.) : sd. col.; 16 mm.
- Summary
- The mountain dulcimer is an oblong box-sounding chamber with from two to six but most often three strings running parallel to the sounding chamber and right over it. In this film, a master in the art of the dulcimer, I.D. Stamper is shown building and playing this instrument and passing on these skills to John McCutcheon. The two musicians sing and play various instruments and talk about what making music means to them individually and together.
