- Summary
- In this animated film reminiscent of Hollywood musicals, Gertrude is despondent when she recieves word that her husband, a naval officer, has been lost at sea. Intent on throwing herself into the river, Gertrude is distracted by a frog dancing on a lily pad and takes the unusual amphibian home with her. The widow's life takes a new and exciting turn as she and her talented friend, George the Frog, embark on a worldwide tour. As they travel, George learns many new dances and entertains audiences in France, Spain and Monte Carlo. He eventually makes a sparkling debut on Broadway. Along the way, Gertrude is proposed to by the dashing Lord Belvedere but the footlights prove too strong an allure.
