- Description
- 1 videocassette (120 min.) : sd., col.; 1/2 in.
- Summary
- 1) Kenneth R. Pelletier - Health in the workplace. Kenneth Pelletier, author of Mind as healer/mind as slayer, Wholistic medicine, and Healthy people in unhealthy places, cites the importance of optimal physical and psychological health within the workplace. Workers should not be viewed as replaceable entities but essential assets. 2) John R. O'Neil - The Dark side of excellence. John O'Neil, President of the California School of Professional Psychology, discusses the unfortunate trend in business to treat "success" as an all-consuming end in itself without regard to the consequences. Focusing mindlessly on "positive thinking," business training techniques gloss over the need for executives to engage in soul-searching and self-renewal. 3) Michael Ray - Creativity in business. According to Stanford professor Michael Ray, humanisitic values are essential in today's competitive business environment. He describes ways in which the principles of consciousness expansion, intuition and creativity can be applied in the business world. 4) William C. Miller - Incorporating creativity. William Miller, management consultant and author of The Creative edge, delineates different styles of creativity and the role of each within the corporation. Every individual, according to Miller, has the capacity to overcome creative blocks by looking for answers which satisfy the desires and values of the heart.
