Summary
1) Jacques Vallée - The Implications of UFO phenomenon. Jacques Vallée, computer scientist and UFO researcher, is the author of Challenge to science, Anatomy of a phenomenon, The Edge of reality, The Invisible college and Messengers of deception. He asserts that irregardless of the physical reality of UFOs, the fact that people believe they have experienced contact with alien entities is sufficient reason for scientific scrutiny. 2) Terence McKenna - Aliens and archetypes. Terence McKenna, a leading thinker in the area of alternative realities and co-author of The Invisible landscape, suggests that regardless of their origin and material existence, UFOs are a challenge to the authority of science. Their chief function may be to offset the rationalist imbalance in our contemporary culture. 3) Richard Grossinger - The Mystery of creation. Richard Grossinger, author of Planet medicine and The Night sky, discusses the cosmos as the fertile field from which humans and the planet earth were created. The cosmos is also the field of our mind onto which we project our dreams and myths. According to Grossinger, the scientific worldview is incomplete. There is much to be learned from ancient and modern mythologies of the skies. 4) James Harder - Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence. James Harder, one of America's foremost specialists in the hypnotic examination of those who have had "contact" with extraterrestrial intelligences, discusses his insights concerning extra-terrestrial societies.
