Summary
T'ai Chi Ch'uan, one of the ancient Chinese martial arts, is a means of self-defense. As with other Zen arts, it is also a spiritual as well as physical exercise. This film is concerned with the aesthetic qualities of these movements, said to have been inspired by observing a snake and crane in combat. The exercises are performed by Professor Nan Huai-Chin, a Zen master and author of works on traditional Chinese culture. Filmed in Taiwan.
