- At a Jie cattle camp in Karamoja District, northeastern Uganda, a group of men gather under a special tree to make cowhide rope and spears, to talk, relax and sleep. On this particular afternoon, the men, in a kind of reverse ethnographic analysis, engage in a lively debate regarding the European colonialist's most noticeable possession, the motorcar.
