Summary

Using news footage, this tape charts U.S. involvement in Vietnam, the first of the "televised" wars. Presenting a year-by-year chronicle, the film analyzes the foreign and military policies of Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Ford, studies the nature of warfare in Vietnam, the growing unrest in the U.S., and those military and strategic defeats which culminated in the collapse of South Vietnam.
