- Summary
- This is the story of Mary Jo, a young Black girl, who is too shy to join in her class's show-and-tell period. She tries to think of something unique to share with her classmates, but finds that the school is overrun with umbrellas, grasshoppers and dolls. Mary Jo stumbles on the perfect solution. She brings her father who talks about the importance of sharing and in so doing gives the class the best show-and-tell they ever had.
