- Summary
- This program debunks the myths surrounding the octopus and shows this intelligent marine invertebrate's survival techniques. Most octopi are small though some have been known to have a tentacle spread of thirty feet and weight of over one hundred pounds. They are nocturnal hunters feeding mostly on crabs. They traverse the ocean floor in a motion that combines walking and swimming. Various aspects of octopus behavior are shown including, hunting, tending of eggs with its arms and its unusual changing skin.
