  • Jack Holborn, a stowaway named after the parish where he was abandoned as a baby, finds, that the quest for his true identity is strangely bound up with the Captain and crew of the pirate ship Charming Molly. He is led from the pirate ship to the haunted African jungle, from a nightmare slave-market auction to an astonishing trial at the Old Bailey in London, and later good fortune.
