Cassette contains worktape of Act 1 of of the opera Hamlet, commissioned by Joseph Papp and the New York Shakespeare Festival but not produced. All vocal and spoken parts and instrumentals were played and recorded by the composer. The overture is an overdubbed workplay of lines from the entire play.
