- Summary
- A mockumentary film-within-in-a-film, exploring the life and mysterious death of the great rumba drummer Papá Montero, assassinated during carnival. Interviews with various people are interspersed with song and dance numbers as a filmcrew makes a biopic about the famed musician, coming in contact with mysterious forces. Afro-Cuban mythology serves as the common force behind the characters as the story begins to involve odd omens and the orishas, spirit divinities of the Afro-Cuban Yoruba faith, who are supposedly guiding the characters to their fates.
