  • "This book was written and designed by David Siegel at Stanford University and printed on acid-free Mohawk Superfine 100lb Text in an edition of 1000 copies. The cover is Curtis Flannel 80lb ... The text type is based on Optima, designed by Hermann Zapf and set by the author on an APS digital typesetter at 720 lines/inch using TeX. The Euler typeface, used for page numbers and examples throughout the book, is set on the same system, from fonts generated at 1446 lines/inch by METAFONT. Letterpress printing done by Peter Koch, Oakland. The text and illustrations were printed in Berkeley by the West Coast Print Center. Binding by Cardoza James Binding Company, San Francisco" -- colophon.
