Don McDonagh speaks with Jack Moore how he [McDonagh] first started writing dance reviews for The New York Times; Moore speaks about working in the 1955 Broadway production of the play Red roses for me; [sounds of coffee being made]; briefly, about reviving his work Rock and working at Bennington College; the problems with performing at the 92nd Street Y as leading to the establishing of Dance Theater Workshop; Merce Cunningham, including the audience response to his work, in particular Winterbranch. [From track 7 through the end, the recording is so muffled as to be unintelligible].
