- Summary
- Following the shared values of international relationships set by the Iberoamerican Community of Nations (of the heads of government and state of the Spanish-Portuguese speaking nations of Europe and the Americas), the CCE has been organizing exhibitions devoted to other nations from the region. After previous events dedicated to Peru, Brazil and Bolivia, the present show is dedicated to Chile's contemporary art, with a special emphasis in two major contemporary art events held in 2006 and 2007 at the MAC (Museo de Arte Contemporneo) in Santiago, Chile: the 7th Biennial of Video and New Media of Santiago, a major event of video art and digital art, and the itinerate exhibition "Globalización: Matriz_Original" that included paintings, photography, sculpture, net-art, installations, videos and integrated arts created since 2000 by an emerging generation of promising young Chilean artists like: Pablo Ferrer, Cristian Gallegos, Guisela Munita, Ignacio Nieto, Francisca Sanchez and others.
