- Composer Richard Peaslee speaks with Joseph Hurley about "Marat/Sade" aka "The persecution and assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as performed by the inmates of the asylum of Charenton under the direction of the Marquis de Sade"; how he had hoped to write music for big bands; studying with Bill Russo; going to London to write for Bill Russo's band; working with Peter Brook; London's theatre scene in the 1960s; the most influential people in his career being Peter Brook and Martha Clarke; "Garden of earthly delights"; changes made to the new production of "Garden of earthly delights"; Martha Clarke's choreographic process and how she used his compositions; genesis of "The hunger artist"; working on a musical version of "Moby Dick"; working with Adrian Mitchell; his experience at Juilliard after serving in the Army; plans for the future; difficulties raising money for the new production of "Garden of earthly delights"; working with Martha Clarke.
