"The edition is limited to 150 numbered copies for sale, of which copies numbered 1-135 are bound by John Sewell in quarter leather, and copies numbered I-XV in a special binding designed and executed by Julian Thomas. The text is set in 14 and 16pt Monotype Baskerville Series 169, and the chapter headings in 22pt. All the type was cast at Gregynog by Gerard O'Shea and Brian Pawley; the text from spools produced by Harry McIntosh. The 61 wood engravings, of which 31 are full page, are printed from the artist's blocks. The feather on the title page has been blocked in gold by Alan Wood. An additional engraving ... is included with each of the special bindings. The book has been printed by David Vickers, controller of Gwasg Gregynog, on a special making of T.H. Saunders Waterford 175gsm mould-made paper"--Colophon.
