- Martin Bookspan interviews American composer and lyricist Jack Segal during an undated broadcast. Segal speaks about his life and his career as a lyricist and composer. He comments on his songs, including his greatest hit Scarlet ribbons (music by Evelyn Danzig ), When sunny gets blue (music by Marvin Fisher), That's the kind of girl I dream of (music by Marvin Fisher), A boy from Texas, a girl from Tennessee (music by John Benson Brooks and Joseph Allan McCarthy), and When Joanna loved me (music by Robert Wells). At the end of the interview he also talks about his desire to work for Broadway productions in the future.
