Summary
  • Stand-up comedian Lewis Black and performer/TV personality Nancy Giles discuss their theater backgrounds with hosts Michael Riedel and Susan Haskins. Black, who attended Yale Drama School, began his stage career as a writer of one-act plays that were staged at New York's West Bank Cafe in the early 1980s. Giles also perfomed there, and both she and Black participate in the 52nd Street Project, a not-for-profit organization that helps inner city children produce their own plays.
  • In the closing segment, performers from the 2009 City Center Encores! revival of The wiz are briefly interviewed on the red carpet.
