  • Original drawings on lithographic stones are for the print on p. [21] and the unbound print issued with the book, respectively. "Jim Dine drew eleven images on lithographic stones at Tamarind Institute ... in October, 2000. A twelfth, unbound image was drawn on stone in Dine's Los Angeles studio in January, 2001. The lithographs were printed by Tamarind master printer Bill Lagattuta, with the assistance of Erika Adams, Sarah Dudley, and Ernestine White."--Colophon of book.
  • Prints on 1 sheet comprise the 12 separate images for the book; annotated by the artist: "Unique proof (never editioned) J.D. 2001."
  • Box contains a preliminary mockup, with illustrations and some text on mounted Mylar sheets, annotated in pencil, bound in light brown cloth; a final mockup, sewn and inserted loosely into light brown cloth boards; a set of page proofs of the letterpress with additional proof sheets; and a folder of correspondence and other material (2 letters from Robert Creeley to Ruth Lingen, one from Lingen to Bill Lagattuta, and annotated copies of the colophon text and the text of the poem).
