Gideon Bachmann interviews American motion picture director, writer, producer, and playwright Dore Schary. Schary discusses his career as a filmmaker, the nature of a motion picture producer's job, telling the evolution of a film from the initial purchase of the properities, and the critics reaction on his films. He also talks about his well-known films such as The farmer's daughter (1947) and Lonelyhearts (1958).
