- Summary
- Unique collaged artist's book. Consists of a copy of an exhibition catalog titled "Paul Klee, September 29-October 24, 1953" (New York : Curt Valentin Gallery, [1953]) in which the artist has inserted illustrations from newspapers and magazines, chiefly containing images of swans. In all, 14 p. contain collaged illustrations, including several panels from Dale Messick's comic strip "Brenda Starr, reporter," one with copyright date 1955.
- Title from p. [1] (front cover of catalog), where the artist has inscribed letters "A s w a n b k" around and within the printed word "Klee"; between letters "b" and "k" is part of a newspaper advertisement containing the word fragment "ool."
