- Note
- Lecture-demonstrations and a question and answer session with the audience conducted by the choreographers Phyllis Lamhut, Bob [Robert] Yohn, Shawn Avrea, and Beverly Brown following performances of the choreographers' respective works on Oct. 5, 1971 at The New School for Social Research in New York City. The lecture-demonstrations are the first of a group of four held on Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26, 1971 as part of the New School ChoreoConcerts and critiques series sponsored by the Choreographers Theatre.
- The sound quality overall of side A is good in that for the most part the featured speakers' voices can usually be clearly heard. Side B sound quality ranges from good to fair. The questions from the audience are for the most part inaudible but are repeated by the moderator. The recording is marred by extraneous noises arising from distortion in the tape, in particular from ca. 35 min. of side A and continuously on side B. In addition there are sections consisting primarily of percussive noise as movements are performed.
