- Description
- 1 sound cassette (ca. 33 min.)
- Summary
- Side A (ca. 33 min.). Question and answer session with the audience and the choreographers Stuart Hodes, Gus Solomons, Laura Foreman, and Dick [Richard] Bull (as well as an unidentified male speaker) following the performance of their respective works, including Hodes' Trace, Solomons' Patrol, Foreman's Laura's Dance, and Bull's Bedtime story on Oct. 26, 1971 at The New School for Social Research in New York City. Topics include the reasons Foreman re-used portions of her dances seen in earlier ChoreoConcert performances; the meaning if any of a dance; the relationship between dancers and the audience; reasons Foreman used masks; distinguishing theater from dance; reasons Foreman's dance began before the audience entered; reasons Hodes chose the title Trace and the costumes; Bull's dance Bedtime stories' relative lack of dance movement; the burdens of the avant garde choreographer.

- Note
- The sound quality overall is good in that for the most part the featured speakers' voices can be clearly heard. The questions from the audience are inaudible but are often repeated by the speakers. However, the recording is marred by an extraneous noise arising from distortion in the tape.
- Question and answer session with the audience and the choreographers Stuart Hodes, Gus Solomons, Laura Foreman, and Richard Bull following the performance of their respective works on Oct. 26, 1971 at The New School for Social Research in New York City. The performance was the fourth of a group of four held on Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26, 1971 as part of the New School ChoreoConcerts and critiques series sponsored by the Choreographers Theatre. There also appears to be a fifth male speaker, who is unidentified.
