- Ted Shawn teaches a dance class, with piano accompaniment, at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, in Lee, Mass., in 1952. The recording consists primarily of his instructions and comments, which are extensive, as well as the sound of the students' exercises and the piano.
- Sound quality is fair to poor. The speaker's voice is usually intelligible but there is considerable distortion in the recording and numerous short gaps.
