Summary
Documentary on the premiere production of Samuel Beckett's short play Rockaby. Director Alan Schneider meets actor Billie Whitelaw at her home for a discussion of the new play, which will have its world premiere at the State University of New York in Buffalo, in the spring of 1981. Schneider and Whitelaw reminisce about their work in earlier Beckett plays. Includes brief excerpts from a panel discussion on Beckett in which Schneider participated. Documentary concludes with the premiere performance of Rockaby, in its entirety.
