- For 4 or 5 solo voices, chorus (SATB), and orchestra (trumpet, 2 oboes doubling on recorders, strings and continuo).
- Unfigured bass realized for keyboard instrument.
- Previous editions of this work are based on a manuscript score held in the Royal College of Music (Ms. 993) that was made by Robert Pindar in 1765. "This new edition is ... the first to attempt a full-scale reconstruction of the ode that removes Pindar's eighteenth-century "improvements" and seeks to return the music to a form much closer to what Purcell composed"--Pref.
