Summary
Carol Baron interviews Irma Wolpe Rademacher, a pianist and teacher. Rademacher, who was the second wife of American composer and teacher Stefan Wolpe, discusses her family background, her life with S. Wolpe, and her professional career as a musician. She also speaks about Wolpe's musical and teaching career in Germany, Israel and later in the USA and analyzes his musical works such as Passacaglia, Oboe Sonata and Battle piece. She reminisces about the composer's strong personality, his interest in paintings, his circle of friends, and his relationships with contemporaries.
