- Consists of 8 panels constructed from 8 sheets of 3 different silk papers, each 30 x 22 cm, in four groups. The recto of each panel has a screenprinted reproduction of a color photograph of Chen Shizheng, taken during a performance on May 1, 1999, at several sites in the vicinity of the Kaldewey Press in Poestenkill, N.Y.; images overprinted with letterpress lines of text in Chen's voice. Panels are joined together using Kenzo paper tape colored red by Tuttle; folded out, they form an octagonal lantern shape. Anne Waldman's poem "Makeup on empty space" is printed letterpress on 8 sheets of Kaldewey handmade paper mounted on verso of panels.
