- Letter book of Sampson Fleming, kept between 1782 and 1790, containing letters written to William Edgar and to friends and relatives (primarily in Ireland and Montreal). Topics include general business, personal matters, a proposed land lottery in Pennsylvania, debts due from Mrs. Margaret Smith and William S. Smith, the ships Jay and the Empress of China (later known as the Edgar), Chinese trade, and stock in the Bank of North America. Also includes accounts of the Deputy Commissary for Detroit and Canada, 1777.
