- Traditionally ascribed to Juliana Berners (or Berns or Barnes), supposedly prioress of the nunnery of Sopwell, near St. Albans, who "cannot be authoritatively identified"--Oxford DNB, retrieved June 6, 2011.
- "The excerpts from The treatise of fishing with an angle are reprinted here in the modernized version from The origins of angling by John McDonald, copyright 1963"--Colophon.
- "The monotype composition is by Michael and Winifred Bixler. The text is set in Poliphilus, the italic in Blado. The initials have been carved by Elias Roustom. The book is printed on Rives heavyweight, the end sheets are Twin Rocker Rotunda, and the boards have been covered with paper hand-painted by Sloane Madureira. Carolyn Chadwick bound the quarter leather edition ... Stephen Gardella ... tied the flies on which the woodcuts are based"--Colophon.
