She also reminisces about her family, growing up in New York City during the Depression, and her experiences with clients and friends such as Jerome Robbins, Tennessee Williams, Carson McCullers, Elia Kazan, Frederick Loewe, and others. The interviewer, who is off camera, is not identified.
