Contains two news features about Ping Chong's theater work, Children of war: The first (11 min.), titled Survivors (presented on the television show, Now with Bill Moyers,and produced by Brad Lichtenstein) includes excerpts from the theater work, Children of war, exploring the experiences of war through the voices of refugee children from Iraq, Somalia, El Salvador, Afghanistan, and Sierra Leone ; the second program (25 min.) is a Cox Broadcasting report (Ed Buggs, reporter) about Children of war that includes an introductory segment, footage of the production, brief interviews with an audience and amateur performers, and an end segment. Children of war is part of Ping Chong's Undesirable elements series, which explores history, culture, and ethnicity's effects on individuals and their communities.
