Unique artist's book. Comprises 63 drawings in yellow, magenta and cyan inks, each a series of parallel lines, some overlapping to produce other colors, on 64 leaves of translucent vellum paper bound as a volume (a blank leaf at beginning represents "no color," or white). Each image is ca. 8.5 x 14 cm. and is drawn in the vertical center of the leaf (ca. 10.4 cm. from top and bottom edge), but horizontal position varies (centered; off-center to the left; off-center to the right), so that different colors and patterns are seen as the pages are turned. The drawings are constructed according to permutations of the mathematical values of the colors represented as the first 8 binary numbers. Two blank leaves of opaque white paper at beginning and end.
Inscribed in pencil on 2nd blank leaf at beginning: "April 2010. Paul Heimbach."
