- These transcripts (2 vols.) of the U.S.S. Brooklyn, Vixen, New Orleans, Marblehead, New York, Texas, Massachusetts, Iowa, Oregon, Indiana, and Resolute when the fleet was before Santiago, Cuba in the Spanish American War are said to have been used by counsel for Admiral Winfield Scott Schley at the 1901 court of inquiry which investigated his conduct before and during the battle of Santiago.
