- One review of six one-act plays presented Nov. 20, 2008, through Dec. 6, 2008, at Under St. Marks, 84 St. Marks Place, New York, N.Y. "Before the show begins, audience members draw play titles from a jar to determine which six (out of eleven) short plays will be performed and in what order." The six plays reviewed Dec. 3, 2008, by Amber Silverman in Show Business were: Anything for You by Cathy Celesia, A Day for Surprises by John Guare, Request Stop by Harold Pinter, 1-900-DESPERATE by Christopher Durang, Miss You by David Auburn, and Sure Thing by David Ives. The review of the six plays is catalogued and bound under the cover title Plucking Failures Like Ripe Fruit. The review devotes almost no attention to playwriting; it focuses instead on individual actors.
- Each of the plays is approximately ten minutes long and is concerned with failed attempts to sustain a romantic love relationship. The five plays not selected by the audience for this reviewed performance were: Breaking Even by Dan Dietz, Here We Are by Dorothy Parker, Cold by David Mamet, 4 a.m. (Open All Night) by Bob Krakower, Please Have a Seat And Someone Will Be With You Shortly by Garth Wingfield. All eleven plays were directed by Lindsey Moore.
