- Les Danseuses viennoises was a troupe of child performers known for their precision dancing, organized by Josephine Weiss, ballet mistress at the Josephstadt Theatre in Vienna. The troupe, composed of thirty-six little girls, made its debut at the Paris Opéra in 1845; one of its numbers was a pas hongrois or Hungarian dance. This print may commemorate this occasion.
