Meredith Monk discusses her artistic career and various productions in chronological order, accompanied by a slideshow with images from her works. She then performs some songs from her works, including "Porch", "Wa-lie-oh", "Insect", "Decending", "Bird Code", "Jew's Harp" (all from the song cycle Songs from the Hill), "Click Songs no. 1" from the song cycle "Light Songs", "Gotham Lullaby", "Traveling", "Madwoman's Vision", and "The Tale" (last three are from Education of the Girlchild).
