Summary
Arlene Francis interviews Isabelle Stevenson, the president of the American Theatre Wing (ATW), a nonprofit theater service organization that currently is administered by the Wing and the League of American Theatres and Producers. They discuss ATW's history and activities, many of which were initiated by Stevenson, such as professional training center, courses for professionals and talented non-professionals, acting, musical theatre, post-graduate workshops and special courses for the junior students. Stevenson also talks about the role she played in bringing young people to the theater, and in establishing Tony Awards to honor the best of Broadway.
