"Anya [musical] by Robert Wright, George Forrest, Guy Bolton and George Abbott, opened on Broadway at the Ziegfeld Theatre on November 29, 1965. It starred Constance Towers and Lillian Gish. Robert Wright and George Forrest wrote the words and music based upon themes of Serge Rachmaninoff" -- Program. Constance Towers, Robert Wright and George Forrest talk about their production of the musical Anya in which Lillian Gish played the role of Dowager Empress. They reminiscence about their work and relationships with L. Gish that lead to long-term friendships. Robert Markham plays live various excerpts from the musical that precedes the discussion.
