- Summary
- Donna McKechnie talks about her family background and her career as a musical theater dancer, singer, actress and choreographer. She shares her memories about her experience working on her most noted autobiographically inspired role, "Cassie" from the musical, A chorus line, that started as a workshop and moved to Broadway by Joseph Papp in 1975. The show later became one of the longest-running productions in Broadway history. McKechnie also speaks about her relationships with Michael Bennett, the production's director and choreographer, and with Joseph Papp, the founder of the New York Shakespeare Festival.
