- Summary
- Theatrical production stage manager and supervisor Jason Steven Cohen speaks about his professional career and experience working with Joseph Papp during the New York Shakespeare Festival, New York, N. Y. since 1972. He discusses Papp's vision and his legacy as founder and director of the New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater and the origins of Papp's project to produce free Shakespeare productions in Central Park as well; the importance of the Public Theater as a theatrical organization. He also talks about his long-term personal relationship with Papp and Papp's relationships with friends and associates, for many of whom he was artistic "father" and mentor.
