- William Atherton, an American film, stage and television actor, speaks about his professional career and experience working with Joseph Papp who offered him the title role of Hummel in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of David Rabe's play "The basic training of Pavlo Hummel" (1971). He also talks about Papp as a sucessful theatrical producer and founder of the New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater, and his professional and personal relationships with him and other producers and directors during the New York Shakespeare Festival.
