- Summary
- Sam Waterston, an American actor and occasional producer and director, speaks about his professional career and experience working with Joseph Papp who offered him his second job as a dramatic actor in the Sheakespere in the park production of "As you like it" during the New York Shakespeare Festival, New York, N. Y. (1963) and later his award-winning role of Benedick in Joseph Papp's production of "Much ado about nothing." With great appretiation Waterston reminisces about Papp, the theatrical producer and director who believed in him and gave him a professional start that led to his successful career on Broadway, TV and in Hollywood. He also talks about his work and relationships with various producers and directors during the New York Shakespeare Festival.
