Business professionals in a wide range of industries are represented including advertising, airlines, alcoholic beverage, banking, brokerage, insurance, manufacturing, petroleum, publishing, real estate, retail, recording and tobacco. Among the men and women portrayed, are Harold Doley, founder of Doley Securities; and Wally "Famous" Amos, founder of "Famous Amos" chocolate chip cookies; and sisters Lucille M. Edwards (Lucille Edwards Chance) and Millicent L. Bowen ( Edwards), two of the three founding partners of Edwards Sister Realty in Harlem, New York City, the oldest active minority real estate firm in New York State. Portraits from the 1920s to the 1950s are limited.
