- Canadian-born composer, pianist and writer of musical theater Galt MacDermot discusses his career in musical theater, with emphasis on his hit-musicals "Hair" (book by Gerome Ragni and James Rado), and "Two gentlemen of Verona" (book by John Guare and Mel Shapiro) that were produced by Joseph Papp during the New York Shakespeare Festival in the 1960's-1970's. He talks about his, Joseph Papp's and the said authors team work that led to the great success of both musicals. He also speaks about his relationship with Papp, about his personality and his talents in theatrical production and direction.
