Summary
Linda Hunt, an American film, stage and television actress, talks about her theatrical career on the New York stage. She shares her memories about Joseph Papp and her experience working with him on classical and modern productions such as Shakespeare's Hamlet (Player Queen), Aunt Dan and Lemon by Wallace Shawn (Aunt Dan) and Top girls by Caryl Churchill (Pope Joan and Louise) during the New York Shakespeare Festival in the 1970's-1980's. Being just 4 feet 9 inches tall she also speaks about Papp's willingness to hire minorities and handicapped people for all kinds of theater positions including actors and actresses (very revolutionary approach in those days) for New York Shakespeare Festival productions.
