Summary

Host John Schaefer talks with pianist Grant Johannesen about the 50th anniversary of Johannesen's debut season, his upcoming exhibition at Steinway & Sons, his Carnegie Hall concert, and his experiences of performing French piano works. Johannesen plays a rare Poulenc piece arranged for piano live in the WNYC performance studio. Schaefer also plays several of Johannesen recordings previously recorded in the 1970's (re-issued in 1994).
